Islamabad: Former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was brought to the accountability court in Islamabad from Adiala Jail today.
Nawaz appeared before Judge Mohammad Arshad Malik who is hearing remaining two corruption cases regarding the Al-Azizia and Flagship Investment which was filed by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
However, Judge Malik had submitted a petition on Friday to the Supreme Court (SC) in order to seek the fifth extension in Nawaz Sharif’s trial.
The application will be taken up by SC’s three-judge bench which is headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar. They will decide whether to allow the extension in Nawaz’s trail or not.
